RT Custom Drums, “Animal”, used.

Used custom drum set in almost immaculate condition. 20”x14”, 10”x8”, 12”x8”, 14”x14”, 16”x14”, snare drum 14”x7”.

Special order made by the craftsmen at RT Custom in Wales. Thin birch shells, 45° edges, wrap covering featuring images of Animal, the rowdy drummer puppet from the Muppet Show, who made his appearance in 1975. It was thought to have been inspired by Keith Moon, but there is no evidence that support this thesis.

Returning to this drum kit, we note the particular tube lugs with a pointed shape, triple flanged hoops, Ludwig 1610D as a tom support on the bass drum, the LR2980MT tom holder with ball joints, and the LAPAMs on the 10" and 12" toms. The bass drum and the two floor toms have eight lugs per side, the toms have six, the snare has ten.

An original, funny, absolutely professional level drrum kit, made with extreme care in every detail, with very versatile sizes. The shells have a full, defined and balanced tone, and the volume is quite generous. The snare has a dark, warm sound with great definition.
